Tommy Lee Stanbro, 83, of Sneads Ferry, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Onslow Memorial Hospital. He was a loving Husband, Father, and Friend. He moved to Sneads Ferry with his wife in 1984, and was the only man to ever have a Zebra in Sneads Ferry. He retired from the US Air Force after 20 years and retired from Civil Service after 10 years. He worked in the Heating and Air Conditioning business for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivi H. Stanbro.

He is survived by his son, TL Stanbro and wife Teri of Anchorage, AK; a daughter, Terrie Stanbro Woodle and husband Dale of Sneads Ferry; two grandchildren, Karly Woodle, Matthew Stanbro; and a great-granddaughter, Riley Stanbro.

A graveside service, with Military Honors, will be 2 pm Tuesday, at Yopp Family Cemetery in Sneads Ferry, with Reverend Crandall Fountain officiating.

Family and friends are welcome to visit with Mr. Stanbro at Jones Funeral Home of Holly Ridge from Noon until 1 PM on Tuesday prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
