Obituary
Lyle Edward Gilbo, 66, of Jacksonville, died at Vidant Hospital Hospice on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018. A funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 11 at Jones Funeral Home at 11:00 am, burial will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with military honors
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Lela LaComb Burnham. He is survived by his wife, Jeannette Riggs Gilbo; two sons, Lyle E. “Eddie” Gilbo and Thurman Bowden both of Jacksonville; three sisters, Sonya Walts of Syracuse, NY, Lisa B. Gribbs of Greenville, SC, Robin Backus of Canton, NY; two brothers, Ronald Gilbo of Canton, NY, Gene Burnham of Potsdam, NY; one stepbrother, Richard Larabee of, NY; four grandsons, Michael Bowden, Matthew Bowden of Jacksonville, Christopher and Joseph Gilbo of VA; one great grandson and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Jones Funeral Home.
