Patricia Blackman Jernigan Watson, 80, formerly of Holly Ridge, NC passed away August 30th 2017 in Deerfield Township, MI.
Services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday 9/9/17 at Providence Baptist Church of Holly Ridge,, NC with Rev. Preston Ray Wells officiating. Burial will follow at the Providence Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughters Betty Jernigan Jones (David) of Tyler, TX and Shelley Jernigan Pekala (Jeff) of North Branch, MI, sons Douglas Jernigan (Samantha Taylor) of Dunn, NC, Fred Watson of Port St Lucie, FL and Danny Watson (Tammy) of Okeechobee, FL, siblings Earl Blackman (Betty) of Dunn, NC, JP Blackman (Virginia) of Burgaw, NC., Doris Godwin (Robin) of Dunn, NC, Stacy Blackman of Coats, NC, Bobby Blackman (Dianne) of Dunn, NC, Judy Grimes of Goldsboro, NC, and Wayne Blackman (Sarah) of Dunn, NC, grandchildren Tommy Watson, Jordan Watson, Dayton Cox, Allen Jernigan, Kelly Jernigan, Joey Pekala, Mikayla Pekala, and great grandchildren Alana Jernigan, Garritt Jernigan, Cheyenne Watson, Daniel Cox, Madison Cox, and Dawson Jernigan, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Iona and William Blackman, first husband Charles O. Jernigan, second husband James A. Watson, sons Jackie Watson and Jim Watson, grandson Dan Watson, brother Roger Blackman, daughter in law Lynette Watson, brother in law Jerry Grimes, and sister in law Diane Blackman.
Visitation will be held at Jones Funeral Home of Holly Ridge, NC on Friday evening from 6 – 8 PM, and again from 12 – 1 PM on Saturday prior to the service at Providence Baptist Church.

Granny Jean was a sweet woman. Met her Christmas of 96 on a visit with Dayton. I know she will be greatly missed. I pray for peace for Betty,David, Doug, Dayton and Jennifer and all the family.
