Obituary

James Thomas Kearney - 79 – Passed away peacefully on July 8 after a challenging time with dementia. He is survived by his beloved wife, Alice Bergeron Kearney, children; Khaj Kearney, Jeannette Kearney-Pulaski and husband Stephen Pulaski, and Alicia Kearney.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Will Kearney, with a family of 13 children, Jim was the 7th son. Thomas, Robert, Donald, William, Peter and John Kearney passed before him. He leaves behind His Brother Edward, Jerry and wife Arlene, Richard and wife Susan, Michael and wife Janet, two sisters, Marilyn Keith, and Sheila and husband Art Fabianski all from CT, a Sister in law Charlotte Kearney and many nieces and nephews.
After High school he joined the Air force for 4 years and then graduated from Danbury State College with a BA in education where he met his loving wife. He taught middle school for a few years then decided to go back to his high school concentration of Drafting. He worked at computer drafting for General Dynamics, Electric Boat division in CT, working on blueprints for submarines. He retired after 30 years.
He had a wonderful bass voice and sang in the church choir and the Barbershop chorus. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus and served with RSVP driving meals on wheels.
He was dedicated to his family and will be greatly missed.
